LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville Salt Cave announced that it is launching a free three-part Health and Wellness series, beginning February 8, that will unite nutrition experts with community members interested in learning more about the powerful role food and nutrients play in their overall health and well-being.
"These experts in nutrition will discuss how to ease stress and prevent chronic disease through dietary and lifestyle adjustments. We are thrilled to provide free information about preventative health to our community," said Nicole Bartlett, owner of the Louisville Salt Cave.
Just as the excitement of the new year and setting new goals can begin to wear off for many, February is the perfect time to turn healthy changes into habits.
First up in the Health and Wellness series is Gretchen Homer. On Feb. 8, beginning at 6 p.m., she will lead a discussion about stress and fatigue, and how to recognize the causes and handle them naturally. Homer holds a Masters Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition, has completed Advanced Clinical Training - Professional Level in Nutrition Testing and is a Certified Holistic Health Coach AADP.
On Feb. 15 at 6 p.m., Ginnie Hill, FDN-P of Life Body Nutrition will provide the right steps in the direction of better health and losing weight. She will provide insights that go far beyond the latest trends in weight loss and will help participants get started on their own individual journeys to take charge of their health.
The third workshop in the Health and Wellness series, on Feb. 22, will be led by sisters Natalie Sadek and Andrea Dill and will focus on healthy living. Dill and Sadek have partnered with a company whose mission is to inspire healthy living around the world. They will be sharing simple ways to get more fruits and vegetables into one's diet and share information about a 10-day cleanse to help jumpstart healthy habits in the new year.
In addition to sharing valuable information about health and nutrition, each speaker will also hold a question and answer session for anyone curious about ways to improve their overall health. Each of the workshops will be held in the retail area of the Louisville Salt Cave and are open to the public.
