In a world of questions, where do you find answers?

There are two types of people in this world: those that follow their instincts and those that need proof. We love Louisville Salt Cave because salt has been used to heal for centuries. Of course, we wouldn’t start a business without measurable data, so if you’re one of the people that need proof: Keep reading.

Some of the most referenced research on Halotherapy was conducted at Saint-Petersburg Pavlov National Medical University by Prof. Alina V. Chervinskaya, M.D., Ph.D.  Many studies have been conducted on the benefits of Halotherapy for overall wellness since her pioneered research and education of controlled Halotherapy spaces.

Breathing in salt is just one way to utilize it’s anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Salt assists the body in detoxifying naturally, which can be done nutritionally, by taking a salt bath at home, or surrounding yourself in a sensory deprivation tank or salt cave.

If you’re interested in other possible healing properties of the Louisville Salt Cave, we’re fascinated by low level light therapy research from Harvard. Wavelengths from red light can assist with cellular regeneration, neurological pain and chronic inflammation. The cave is also constructed of 5 tons of salt crystals.

A Cave session for me opens a lot more than my sinuses. I immediately feel happier and an overwhelming sense of peace, then I might notice ‘ah-ha’ moments a few days after my session. When I allow myself that time to let go, the pieces come together in what I believe to be driven by faith, an essential part to healing the mind, body and spirit.

Alternative health and healing is our passion, but it is our obligation to recommend your doctor for medical diagnosis. For those of you that follow your instinct, do your research and know that experts in their field are that for a reason. What works for someone else may not work for you.

Science continues to inspire questions to what this life and our environment is all about.  Recent research shows our correlation with camels in our bodies providing us with what we need during times of depletion. It seems salt doesn’t actually make you thirsty after all. Plant utilization of salt shows plants and animals are closely related in how we convert essential nutrients.

So if you’re looking for answers from science: Look up. We’re all connected, and every action you take is your intention toward that connectedness. Peace, Love & Salt.
