What should I wear?
Whatever you like. You will be laid back on a zero gravity reclining chair and provided a blanket. Shoes must be removed and feet covered. Feel free to bring your own clean socks. Comfortable and warm clothes are recommended as the cave's temperature is between 65 - 70 degrees.
Why do I need to arrive 15 minutes early?
Halotherapy sessions begin every hour on the hour and due to the communal nature, we start on time and don't allow late entry. During the 15 minutes we advise you to check in, use the restroom, shop the retail area, or enjoy complimentary water and tea. If you prefer a private session, please contact us for pricing and availability.
Who is advised against the use of the salt cave?
Kidney/Liver Disease – During a 45 minute session water is pulled from the body. It is recommended to use the restroom prior to beginning a session and immediately following it. Increase your water intake throughout the day.
Chemotherapy- If you are undergoing chemotherapy, it is not advisable for you to visit the salt cave due to the detoxification of the session. However, during the period between chemotherapy and after the completion of treatment, schedule 2-3 treatments per week to aid in the improvement of the immune system as quickly as possible.
What should I expect?
Plan to breathe easy and quiet the mind. We play music that works with brain activity to induce rest. Many use this space to pray, meditate, or even sleep. The American Heart Association promotes quieting the mind based on the results showing a reduction in heart attack or stroke by 48%!
This is a community space with up to 6 people at a time. We don't allow food or drink in the cave and ask that you enter our retail area softly as sessions are ongoing. These sessions are designed for adults, so we have a 10 year old age limit on all sessions outside of the Kid's Play, which welcomes ages 1-101.
Ultimately, you feel amazing after a session. The space is designed specifically for this, and opening your airways allows your body to better self-heal through your own breath. Join us to breathe in beauty.
